The founders of Portrait Eyewear are siblings, entrepreneurs, designers and dedicated students of made-in-Italy traditions. Born in Caracas, Valentina and Gabriel Hernandez studied in London and finally moved to Belluno, Italy while researching Italian eyewear. There they discovered small companies producing frames according to nearly-forgotten traditional craft techniques. "We felt that, thanks to their experience, we could collaborate to create glasses with unique personality, the perfect intersection of their years of experience and our passion for contemporary art and design. That way we’ll help preserve artisan traditions while also making our creative ideas a reality".
